Hurckman turns walk-in clinic into a surgi-center.
The Challenge
As a complete surgical facility, the clinic featured many areas that used medical gas which required extreme attention to safety of the staff and patients. Construction turned the clinic into a state-of-the-art surgical center with overnight patients requiring a complicated network of surgical gas tubing installed to meet a a compressed construction schedule.
The Solution
Due to the high number of pipe openings in the facility, we used CAD layout to locate where holes were to be cored in the concrete. Doing so allowed us to speed up field work and deliver the fast-track project on deadline. The project was on a very fast track in order to meet the project deadline.
The Results
This project earned Hurckman Mechanical a 2009 AGC Build Wisconsin Award.
